From The Artist: When we first moved to Alameda, the city we now call home, I didn’t know anyone. I was invited to check out the community chorus and even though I don’t consider myself a singer, I joined. The experience of singing in chorus with others, the synchronicity of voices, the subtle shift in tones, the comfort of harmony - all echoed in me as I painted these pieces. They are sound and community visualized.
